Target Studio serves as an integral part of Target Creative’s capabilities by producing a huge volume of photo content, and by functioning as a central hub for all Minneapolis-based Target productions through our Samples, Props, and Scenic operations.

As Scenic Asset Manager, you will bring the Target Brand to life by managing this team and core operation for Target Creative. You will have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Scenic operations within the warehouse and across internal and external studios, and a high-level understanding of photo set design/construction in the shop.  Lead and develop a Scenic management team, while overseeing a large physical inventory of set elements. Develop and maintain strong partnerships and open lines of communication with Art Director and Creative Producers teams to strategically prioritize asset disposition. Lead continuous development and implementation of process improvements in the warehouse in service of all internal and external creative production. Train and motivate team to deliver the highest standards of execution and collaboration with internal and external partners. Champion and drives change management within the team and with key partners. Ensure new asset intake accuracy, and asset usage data integrity. Develop and manage KPIs for team. Thought leader for technical advancements in the warehouse/inventory management space. Lead data migration and ensure functional continuity between inventory management systems. Identify high potential candidates and develop avenues for growth. Conversely, work with low performers to improve performance.

Strong working relationships with Scenic Leads and Designers, Photo and Video production teams, internal and external studio management, Creative Producers, and Art Directors. Additional partnerships with Product Team, Product Producers, Experiential Marketing, Strategy and Innovation, and Store Design.

The Scenic Asset Manager reports to Workshop Sr Manager.

Strong leadership skills to build and drive a large diverse team of exempt and non-exempt team members.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Excel, WorkHorse, Filemaker, Pegasus, Microsoft Office, Asset Hub
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and possess strong written and direct communication skills
  • Proven success in performance managing and motivating a team
  • Exhibits integrity, creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to facilitate and clarify project expectations, budgets, objectives, and deliverables 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity
  • Experience supporting multi-channel work
  • Action oriented, with ability to prioritize and drive results
